Chennai Super Kings are in great run of form and their top of the table position says all about their prowess in this year’s IPL.

CSK will take on Mumbai Indians today in a Saturday night clash at MCA Stadium in Pune, which makes this match more exciting.

While CSK are flying at the moment, MI comes after humiliation against SRH, where they were bundled out for 87 while chasing modest total of 118.

Here is CSK’s probable XI:

OPENERS:

SHANE WATSON

Shane Watson has been a sensation for CSK this season. CSK grabbed him in auction for his experience and he has delivered for them good. He bowls crucial overs and comes all guns blazing at the start.

AMBATI RAYUDU

Like Watson, Rayudu has also been a sensation for CSK. He comes to bat as an opener and is all set from a word go. He has the capability to construct partnerships which comes handy in setting up big totals or chasing them down, like we saw in the previous match.

MIDDLE ORDER:

SURESH RAINA

Raina is going good this IPL with little cameos here and there. He is yet to score big and this match could be perfect opportunity for this veteran cricketer.

M S DHONI WKT (C)

Dhoni is gold with a ‘D’ for CSK in this season more than ever. He has scored 209 runs in just 6 matches with strike rate over 160. We are witnessing the Dhoni of old and same can be expected today.

SAM BILLINGS

This youngster from England is bad news for bowlers and his fielding brilliance brings another dimension in his game. He is the new kid on the block among series of veteran players in CSK line-up which brings its own advantages.

ALL ROUNDERS:

RAVINDRA JADEJA

Jadeja had a poor outing last time around against RCB and he would be eager to get on the field and make a mark. Dhoni has been using him has floater in bowling and batting and he can expect same today.

DWAYNE BRAVO

Bravo has crucial role in CSK as a finisher in both departments and he is enjoying every bit of it. He has already played few terrific cameos and we can expect more to follow.

BOWLERS:

HARBHAJAN SINGH

Harbhajan was the only change in CSK lineup in last match against RCB. He went for plenty as he was asked to bowl in the power play. It will be interesting to see if he is given another shot or not.

IMRAN TAHIR

Tahir was given the chance in place of Faf Du Plessis in the last match. He had rough couple of overs when De Villiers got stuck into him. Tahir came back strong in his second spell, knocking couple of wickets and hindering RCB’s momentum.

DEEPAK CHAHAR

This young gun is flying under Dhoni’s wing but had a tough match last time around. He will be looking to make a mark today.

SHARDUL THAKUR

Thakur has mix bag in this year’s IPL so far. He has been successful in taking wickets but at a cost.
