Over the last few months, Hardik Pandya has slowly but surely developed into one of the best all-rounders in the game today. His brilliant performances in the series against Australia was the moment he announced himself on the world stage, as the young Baroda all-rounder put the world champions to sword.

Now firmly established in the Indian setup, Pandya knows that he will be a much sought after player in the mega IPL auction that will take place in a few months time.

After playing for the Mumbai Indians so far, Pandya realizes that he could become the face of another franchise if he were to take part in the auction.

But the issue is that Mumbai have no interest in letting go of a player that they have invested a lot of time in. Pandya is one of the pillars of the current IPL champions, and is considered to be a possible captain in the future.

Pandya though has other ideas, as he has informed the BCCI that he wishes to be in the mega auction. This is what a top ranking BCCI official had to say,

“Hardik wants to be at the auction and the rule says that if he isn’t ready to play for Mumbai Indians, he can certainly be at the auction.”

According to reports, Virat Kohli is very keen on adding Pandya to the Royal Challenges Bangalore side.

“Pandya could be the next big thing in the IPL if he is at the auction. After all, the teams will retain big India players like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma,” sources said.
