The big day is here. Two months of gruelling cricket, two months of seeing new heroes being created on the pitch, two months of jubilation, two months of scheduling your entire day according to the match and two months of unearthing some of India’s finest gems; the IPL has given this cricket frenzy nation a tournament to remember.

All of this comes to an end today. Normalcy will set in, evenings wouldn’t be full of banter, full of emotions.
And to culminate all of that, we have the best two teams from the league stage taking on each other at the iconic Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.
CSK took the easy route to the final, winning the first qualifier against SRH and then resting for a couple of days whilst SRH travelled to Kolkata for that must win second qualifier against KKR.
SRH would be buoyed by how their team responded to pressure in that must win encounter at the Eden Gardens. They might argue that momentum wise the tide is a little even now, or maybe even slightly tilted towards SRH, as they are coming off a win more recently.
With Dhoni leading that CSK side, you would assume that things like momentum won’t really matter on the big day, as in that yellow brigade you have a leader who has a knack of shifting momentum towards his side on the big day.
A lot will rest on how calm the team setup is before this high octane encounter. Both captains possess a calm demeanour and hence you can expect both teams to be pretty relaxed during the build up. It is how they behave on the field then is what will ultimately decide the outcome of this game.
Let’s get to business now!
IPL Fantasy League(Fantasy Tips for SRH vs CSK Final)
Transfer out: Rahul Tripathi, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Sanju Samson/Prasidh Krishna, Dinesh Karthik
Transfer in: Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni/Lungi Ngidi, DJ Bravo/Shane Watson, Deepak Chahar
Now, I already have Shikhar Dhawan, Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Siddharth Kaul in my side for this game.
Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, DJ Bravo, Shane Watson and Lungi Ngidi are the 6 players in my consideration set for this game.
Yes, I leave out Faf du Plessis, because I don’t feel that he can replicate his performance at the Wankhede from the other night, because he just doesn’t score quickly enough in the IPL for my liking.
Ambati Rayudu will be the first player that I draft into my team for this game. Rayudu has been in terrific form this season and though he recorded a golden duck in the last game, I expect him to be the best equipped batsman to take on Rashid Khan tonight.
Suresh Raina seemed to be in sublime form in the last game, but somehow managed to get himself bowled round his legs. His playoff record has been amazing, as he averages 40+ during this stage of the tournament. For the big game, you get the big players in and thus Raina will be my second choice for the final.
Now, I have four choices for the final two picks. Between Bravo and Watson, I would prefer Bravo once again, especially considering the sluggish nature of the Wankhede wicket. Also, Watson hasn’t been called upon to bowl a lot in the last few fixtures.
If you do want to get Watson in, I suggest you get him in only if CSK bat first, as Bravo will be most effective when CSK bowl first, as he would then be guaranteed to bring his death bowling skills to the fore.
For the final pick, I would get in one from Ngidi and Dhoni.
Dhoni will be pushed down to number 5 as Faf will once again open the batting for CSK. Thus, Dhoni might either have too much or too little to do in the 2nd innings, and hence I pick him only if CSK bat first.
If CSK bowl first, I will be going in with Ngidi, who was used at the death in the last game and could run away with a few cheap wickets a the death.
Now, for the uncapped player, Deepak Chahar seems to be the best option for tonight, as he could get some swing upfront and knock over that SRH top order, just like in qualifier 1.
Match Powerplayer- Rashid Khan(if SRH bowl first)/Kane Williamson(if SRH bat first)
2nd innings Powerplayer- Rashid Khan(if SRH bowl second)/Kane Williamson(if SRH bat second)
