SRH Captain Kane Williamson was gracious in the moments of defeat after SRH lost the IPL 2018 Final against CSK.

We bring to you the Weather Report, Pitch Report and Head to Head of the SRH vs CSK Qualifier 1, which is the 1st match of the playoffs, to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai today.

The IPL match timings have been pulled back for the playoffs. While matches used to begin at 8pm IST in the league stage, they will now begin at 7 pm IST for the playoffs.

The game between CSK and SRH is going to be their 3rd encounter this season. In the two matches till now, CSK have managed to get the better of SRH. This is the reason that they are considered to be the favourites stepping in to this match.

SRH’s famed bowling lineup is being tonked for plenty in the last few games. The SRH bowlers have to get back to their best under the leadership of Bhuvneshwar Kumar to give Chennai a run for their money.

While CSK would like to repeat the result of their last matches against SRH, Hyderabad would try their best to turn things around.

Weather report

Weather Gods seem to be very kind for this match as their no forecast of rain. There would be sufficient wind blowing for it to help the pacers swing it around just a tad bit.

The temperatures would hover between 30 and 35 degree Celsius and there are no chances of rain. The humidity would be relatively high- between 50% and 75%.

Pitch report

The game will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai which is located near the sea shore. This effectively means that the ball may swing (very little though) in the first couple of overs if there is ample amount of wind.

The pitch always has had a lot of runs to offer and it would be no different this time. The Women’s game will be played on the same pitch so it may get a bit sluggish as the game moves forward.

Head to Head

In the 8 matches that the two teams have played against each other, Chennai Super Kings have won 6 while Sunrisers Hyderabad have won just 2. However, one must not forget that during the two years that SRH have been at their best, CSK was not a part of the IPL. Hyderabad are not the same old team but they have come a long way.

However, with 2 wins in 2 games this year, CSK have surely had an upper hand till now.
