Ever since Team India’s semi-final exit from the 2019 World Cup, former India captain MS Dhoni has been in the spotlight and the buzz keyword in the whole of India. The discussions, debates, speculations, conjectures and everything associated even with his post retirement plans have become one of the burning issues across the Indian Cricket fraternity.

Just when the entire nation’s eyes were gazed on the selection committee’s Indian team squad announcement for the West Indies tour, a BCCI source had confirmed that the 38-year-old will not be travelling to West Indies for the limited-overs series as he has decided to serve the Parachute regiment of the Indian territorial Army, for the next two months.

While the news received mixed reactions from the fans, former England cricketer and coach of the England Cricket Team, David Lloyd’s reaction to Dhoni’s decision did not go down well with the Indian social media users, who lashed out at him severely.

Former England cricketer and coach David Lloyd reacted to the news of Dhoni’s sabbatical with a couple of laughing emojis on the social media and he was taken on by the Indian fans who questioned what made the 72-year-old feel amused.

A significant section of fans termed him as ‘Idiot’ and ‘Coward’ while the others hurled swears at him for mocking at a legend of the game, despite him having no noticeable achievement in his career.
