IPL 2018: Weather forecast for CSK vs KKR
Looks like it’s time for rain to play its part in IPL 2018. After yesterday’s match got initially curtailed to 18 overs a side, which was reduced to 12 overs in the second innings, the fixture between CSK and KKR is also under the threat of rain. However, the good news for fans is that the downpour is expected later at night.
Coming off a 6-wicket victory against RCB, rain playing spoilsport would be the last thing that Kolkata would want. For CSK, it does matter that much as the team is already sitting comfortably at the top of the points table and looking all set to qualify for the playoffs.

As per the Accuweather forecast, conditions are expected to be cloudy for most part of the match. Rain is expected, but the good news for cricket lovers is that the rain forecast is for 12 midnight. This will effectively ensure the match to be done and dusted before things go down south.
Given the cloudy conditions, pacers of both teams would enjoy bowling on the Kolkata pitch. Also, the new square at Eden Gardens has a lot of pace to offer. Coupled with the overhead conditions, this would make life tough for the batters.
Both teams have enough pace bowling ammunition to exploit these conditions. For KKR, Mitchell Johnson, Shivam Mavi and Andre Russell would cherish these conditions. For CSK, young pacers Lungi Ngidi and KM Asif would love to bend their backs and see the ball wobble around a bit.
So, CSK fans get ready to see live action. Let the cheers continue and so will the Whitsle Podu!
