IPL 2019 Schedule time-table: The Indian cricket board has announced a major update regarding IPL 2019 time-table.
With the 12th season of the Indian Premier League slated to commence on March 23, both the franchises and fans are awaiting for IPL 2019 schedule. With the tournament to begin in under six weeks now, IPL 2019 match list should have been made public by now.
What has delayed the same is the fact that general elections are to be conducted in India during the same time when the cash-rich tournament is to be played.

IPL 2019 schedule to be announced next month
Bringing all the murmurs regarding IPL 2019 dates, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced that the the schedule for IPL 2019 will not be announced before March. Furthermore, a senior BCCI official has disclosed to Hindustan Times that the fixtures will only be announced after the election dates are known.
“The schedule will take some time as we need to wait for the general election dates to be released by the election commission. Since this is the most important event in the calendar year, one has to ensure that we work according to the dates and plan the games in a way that everything is in sync.

“We all know the kind of arrangement that goes behind hosting elections and that is the priority,” the official said.
IPL has been twice conducted outside India
It is due to the general elections that IPL 2019 was initially planned to be conducted outside the country. However, all the franchises and major stakeholders wanted it to be conducted in India itself.
The other two time when the elections were schedule to happen at the same time as the IPL, the tourney was moved to South Africa (2009) and UAE (2014). It is worth mentioning that a major part of the tournament was conducted in India in 2014.
