IRE vs ZIM Dream11 Team: Ireland look to complete a full sweep against Zimbabwe in the final T20 encounter of the series

They went into the T20 series after clinching a fantastic 3-0 ODI series sweep and Ireland ensured that they took the momentum forward into the shortest format of the game. With Paul Stirling delivering yet another flawless display in the series opener to take his side to a 1-0 lead, Ireland will be looking to seal the series in their favour when the two sides meet for the final time today.

In a truncated match that was shortened down to the 13 overs, Ireland saw Paul Stirling guide them to the most emphatic of chases. His 83 run innings in 50 balls took Zimbabwe apart, never allowing them to have any say in the second part of the encounter as Ireland went onto take a 1-0 series lead courtesy of a comprehensive 9 wicket win.

Earlier while batting first, Zimbabwe had for the first time in the course of  month managed to string together a healthy enough total, one that saw Ireland step out needing over 10 runs per over. The 37 run stand for the second wicket between the clean hitting Craig Ervine and Sean Williams looked likely to take Zimbabwe within 150 before Mark Adair’s four wicket haul saw them suffer double blows, tumbling at pivotal moments to fall 20 runs short of their target.

Facing off against each other for the culminating match of the series, both the sides are heading in with different agendas. For Zimbabwe, the match is all about saving face and restoring lost pride with the predicament extending to four consecutive defeats against Ireland across all formats. Elsewhere, Ireland will be looking to seal the series before they take on England in only their second ever international test match till date.

 Probable Winner

No matter how much we try to dig out a win for Zimbabwe here, the likelihood of them winning is negligible if any. They have seen their most experienced players fail shambolically with the batting unit falling together as a unit, leaving Craig Ervine and Sean Williams to do all the scoring for them.

With Ireland’s batting line-up having such extensive depth, we see them scoring just too many runs for Zimbabwe once again. Ireland should win this with ease and take the T20 series 2-0.

Wicket-Keeper for IRE vs ZIM Dream11

He didn’t get a chance to step out to bat in the middle in the opening match and with the other bats failing so shambolically in this segment we are going to carry on with Tucker here.

Batsmen for IRE vs ZIM Dream11

Without a doubt the finest player in Ireland’s batting unit, Paul Stirling is as indispensible to his side as he is to us. Coming out to bat in tricky conditions with the sky looming with clouds and the pitch and field a wet one, Stirling looked completely unperturbed as he went onto pile the runs at will. He scoured past the boundary with such ease and grace to leave Zimbabwe flummoxed, never able to make their way back into the match owing to his innings.

He’s going to be partnered by Andrew Balbirnie whose 28 runs gave Stirling the much needed support at the other with Kevin O’ Brien becoming the third bat from his side. From Zimbabwe we have the lone pick of Crag Ervine wrapping up our side with the batsman the fulcrum of whatever success the Africans have tasted on the batting front.

All-Rounders for IRE vs ZIM Dream11

Shane Getkate continues to remain in our side for this fixture as well alongside Sean Williams as we decide not to hinder around with this facet. Williams’ 44 was a good innings and if he can stitch another partnership with Ervine, Zimbabwe will be able to put on another hefty total. Ryan Burl wraps up our side.

Bowling Order for IRE vs ZIM Dream11

With figures of 4-40 leaving Zimbabwe well short of crucial runs in the end and seeing Ireland end the first part of the innings as the happier side, we bring in Mark Adair as the first pick of her side. He’s going to be partnered with fellow pacer Craig Young who ended up snaring up two crucial wickets.

From Zimbabwe we have gone ahead with Tendai Chatara given the immense know how of the game he has along with the awareness of what it takes to succeed on the biggest stage.

Captain And Vice-Captain

Paul Stirling remains our captain while we have Adair being chosen as the vice-captain.
