"Script Could Be Just That": Chris Gayle Predicts LSG vs RCB IPL 2023 Eliminator

The race for the last Indian Premier League 2023 playoffs spot is on. One of Royal Challengers Bangalore or Mumbai Indians will become the fourth team to qualify. Former RCB batter Chris Gayle has although predicted Bangalore to seal their place in the top-4.

Earlier in the day, Mumbai defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad to take their tally to 16 points. Bangalore will have to defeat Gujarat Titans at any cost in order to continue their journey in the tournament. The fourth placed team will be facing Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator match.

Gayle is currently doing commentary on Jio Cinema and he was in a conversation with former New Zealand Scott Styris. The ‘Universe Boss’ said that a match between Lucknow and Bangalore will be a perfect script for the tournament. Both teams have played a couple of matches in the this year winning one game each.

The weather in Bangalore has been pretty bad lately for cricket and it was feared that the match between Bangalore and Gujarat may get abandoned. However, as soon as Mumbai won their match, the rain in Bangalore stopped. Styris said that he wants to see yet another LSG vs RCB encounter. Gayle agreed to the same as well.

“I want LSG v RCB in the eliminator. Want that to happen, waiting for round two” Scott Styris said on Jio Cinema.

“The script could be just that you know,” Gayle replied.

In case rain spoils the sport, Mumbai will be the fourth team in the playoffs. Styris even requested Lucknow to play pacer Naveen ul Haq knowing the last heated exchange between him and former RCB captain Virat Kohli.

Why LSG vs RCB Match Can Be a Blockbuster?

The matches between Lucknow and Bangalore have engaged a lot of audience interaction this year. Lucknow defeated Bangalore in their home conditions on the very last ball. Lucknow’s mentor Gautam Gambhir then did a ‘keep shut’ gesture towards the M Chinnaswamy Stadium crowd.

In the return match in Lucknow, things got blown up even more. Kohli gave an indirect reply to Gambhir by blowing a kiss to the spectators. He then had a verbal exchange with Naveen ul Haq. After the match, Gambhir and Kohli got engaged in a verbal battle.

Since that match in Lucknow, there is a lot of buzz about another match between both sides. Recently, the Hyderabad crowd was chanting ‘Kohli Kohli’ to tease Gambhir. If these sides meet each other again, it can be yet another scintillating encounter.
