Is Frank Lampard Getting Sacked Today : Chelsea Set To Give Frank Lampard The Sack Today With Players Asked Not To Report For Training

Frank Lampard Sacked : The club’s FA Cup triumph at the weekend did little to win over the people in charge

The worst is finally set to become a reality for Frank Lampard this Monday. Chelsea have decided they have seen enough of the manager with the side deciding of relieving him of his duties at the helm of the club as early as today.

As reported first by The Telegraph, the people in charge of making these decisions at Chelsea have finally run out of patience with Lampard. A slew of appalling results across the last couple of months see the side currently sit in 9th place in the Premier League, a horrid run which sees the club with the measly one win in six matches.

Lampard Set To Be Let Go Today

Backed to the hilt by Roman Abramovich owing to his stature as a player at the club, Lampard failed to buy any more favours from the Russian manager. As affirmed, Chelsea’s players have been asked to stay away from the training ground till the afternoon as the club prepares to part company with Lampard.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed the report by The Telegraph with him going onto tweet: Frank Lampard is set to be sacked, as @Matt_Law_DT reported today. Chelsea board ‘furious’ and ‘disappointed’ for weeks.

Although Lampard had previously tried to banish talk of his being concerned about his job, the worry was well fraught across his face. The club’s 2-0 defeat to Leicester City is said to be the flash point of Chelsea’s decision to let go off him with Roman said to be seething with the club’s performances at the moment.

Lampard had come under the sword off late for his ineptness as a manager. Despite being at the club for two years, Lampard had struggled to correct the mistakes bogging the club down along with failing to deploy players at their correct positions.

Thomas Tuchel, PSG’s previous manager is poised to be announced as his successor.
