Why is Kuldeep Yadav not playing today vs RR? While Dinesh Karthik does not provide an official update; we feel it is the pitch that is to blame for it

Kuldeep Yadav has had a torrid IPL season, having picked up just 4 wickets in 9 games and not having made any sort of impact in an already sorry season for KKR.
While the team started off brightly, a mid-season slump has seen KKR sit anxiously in the 6th spot, with just 8 points on the board. Mathematically, KKR are well and truly in that playoff race, but from how they have carried themselves on the ground, it seems KKR will need a miracle to make it to the final stage of the tournament.
Kuldeep who was dropped from the last game, continues to be on the bench for reasons not clearly communicated by the KKR captain. In a must win game, he has decided to not draft in India’s main spinner.
Prasidh Krishna comes in for KKR and Braithwaite gets his second game of the season and the expense of Harry Gurney. The pitch seems to have a lot of grass on it and hence Kuldeep has been left out, but it is worrying to see Piyush Chawla being preferred over India’s main man ahead of the World Cup.
“It’s got a lot of grass cover on it and it’ll be a great batting wicket. One of the things is to keep right people in the right space. It’s very important that we get the best out of the players who are doing well. Prasidh comes in for KC Cariappa. Brathwaite comes in for Gurney.
Kuldeep will now have to dig deep, go back to the drawing board and figure out what’s needed to get back into the KKR setup and then finally get some form going before that massive 2019 World Cup.
Virat Kohli and co. would be hoping that Kuldeep hits form too, as he has been India’s most potent weapon in the last year or so, all around the world.
