ITA-W vs BRA-W Dream 11 prediction: Dream 11 fantasy tips for Italy vs Brazil Women FIFA World Cup 2019

ITA-W vs BRA-W Dream 11 prediction : Italy travel to Valenciennes to play Brazil in the Round 3 of group stages

Group of death, group C brings to us arguably the most exciting game of the tournament. The group is in chaos with no qualified teams yet. Italy sit on top with 6 points meanwhile Australia and Brazil have 3 each. For Italy to progress they only need 1 point, while Brazil will need to win and hope the Goal Difference adds up.

There are no favourites in this game, but I’ve chosen more players from Italy because of their performances so far in the tournament.

Goalkeepers for ITA-W vs BRA-W Dream 11

I’ve picked Italian goalkeeper Laura Guilliani for this game. Laura has been one of the best goalkeepers this World Cup and her game against Australia proved the same. She made some very crucial saves against a tough opponent and Italy came out on top in the game. Guilliani also managed to keep a clean sheet against Jamaica while the outfield players put 5 past the African team.

Defenders for ITA-W vs BRA-W Dream 11

I’ve gone for a backline of 4 players for this game, including 3 fullbacks because the attacking prowess of these players have been on display for the past 2 games.

Brazil’s Tamires is my first selection. Tamires is an out and out attacking left back with a whip of a left foot. She raged through the left flank for 90 minutes against Australia and put in several key passes and crosses. If not for Italy’s superb organised defending, Tamires would’ve come out of the game with an assist or two.

My second choice is Tamires’ partner in crime, Letícia Santos. The right back compliments Tamires’ attacking style of play with amazing defensive prowess which help Brazil to shape their defence in time in case of a counter attack. Her positioning and tackling stopped several goal scoring opportunities against Australia. Santos can also fill in as a center back and can start in either position if Brazil decide to go for a 3 man backline.

Alia Guagni of Italy is my 3rd choice for this matchup. A right back by trait, Guagni can also play as an LB, CM and CB. Her average positioning against Australia is a testament to that. Alia also started the match against Jamaica but played as an RB. She’s been one of the best players for Italy and is unlucky to not have any direct goal contributions to her name.

I have center half Elina Linari to complete my tetrad. Linari’s pairing with her captain Sara Gama has helped her get the best out of herself and she is an absolute rock at defence for her team. Her positioning is absolutely world class and she’s one of the leaders in shots blocked in the cup.

Midfielders for ITA-W vs BRA-W Dream 11

My first pick is Andressa Alves of Brazil. The 26 year old is a winger/attacking midfielder and who has shown exemplary flair, dribbling and passing in the matches she’s played. Her stamina allows her to drop deep, collect the ball and race forward through the game. Alves assisted two out of three goals from Cristiane Rozeira against Jamaica. She also failed to convert a first half penalty in the same match, which would’ve been the cherry on the cake for a match winning performance.

My second pick is Brazilian winger Debinha. The 27 year old has played only 1 game in the tournament, but her performance was enough to justify her selection in that and future games. Debinha’s accurate through balls and crosses created several goal scoring chances for her team, but only 1 of them was capitalised. Debinha came out of this game with one assist but was definitely the best player on the pitch.

A good alternative to Debinha is Italian DM Manuela Guigliano. Despite playing in the heart of midfield for Italy, she has 3 assists to her name – all in the same game. The young midfielder has a reserved starting spot and has the eye for a pass, too.

My last pick is Italian Aurora Galli. The CM did not start the second game for Italy after a subpar first match show. However, after being substituted in with 25 minutes remaining, she got on the scoresheet twice. Galli was playing as RM in the game, and will most likely start at the same position against Brazil.

Forwards for ITA-W vs BRA-W Dream 11

My first of 3 picks is Cristiane Rozeira. The number 11 is the starting striker for Brazil and is the second highest scorer this tournament, only behind Alex Morgan. Her hattrick against Jamaica powered Brazil to a 5-0 win in Round 1. She also scored the second goal in the 3-2 loss against Australia. Rozeira is in better form than ever, and for that reason I’ve made her my Dream11 Captain.

I’ve chosen 2 Italian forwards to complete my attacking trinity. My first pick is attacking midfielder Cristiana Gilleri. She’s played as an out and out no. 10 for Italy in the tournament behind two very talented strikers. Despite playing as a creator, Gilleri managed to get herself a hattrick against Jamaica. She’s also the first choice penalty and free-kick taker for her team, which gives her an added advantage.

For my last pick, I’ve gone to Barbara Bonansea. The striker has 2 goals in 2 starts for Italy and has looked very deadly in front of goal. Her finishing is nothing short of clinical. With quality creators like Galli, Guigliano and Gilleri behind her, it’s quite likely she’s going to get more goals in the tournament. Bonansea is my Vice-captain for the game against Brazil.
