Kevin Durant calls Jay Williams a ‘f***ing liar’ after Williams claimed KD told him never to compare him to Giannis ever again.
The similarities between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant slim to none as the only thing they share in terms of their physicality is the fact that they’re both near 7-footers. Other than that, Kevin Durant is a better shooter and ball handler than Giannis while the reigning 2x MVP is a better finisher around the rim and a slightly better playmaker in the halfcourt.

Everything in-between those skills such as lateral movement on defense, ball-fakes, defensive versatility, etc. all vary between the two All-NBA talents as well. According to Jay Williams, Kevin Durant himself told him that he does not want to be compared to Giannis, ever.
In a segment following the Nets blowout Game 2 victory over the Bucks, Jay Williams claims a couple years ago at a party, he threw out a comparison between KD and Giannis. The 2014 MVP apparently took notice of this and fired back at him and said, “Don’t you ever compare me to Giannis again. Don’t ever compare me to that dude.”

Kevin Durant immediately fires back at Jay Williams and calls him a liar for this statement.
Kevin Durant is no stranger to calling a spade a spade; especially on social media. The usually outspoken all-timer was true to his usual self by taking to Instagram merely 14 minutes after this quote by Jay Williams was aired to comment underneath the post, “This is a f***king lie. Jay Williams can NEVER speak for me, ever.”
KD even retweeting a post on Twitter highlighted what he said on Instagram so it’s clear he’s upset about what Jay had to say about him.

Mind you this event, according to Jay Williams, transpired a couple years ago so the details of what was truly said may have become muddled over the course of time. However, it would be incredibly shocking to learn down the line that every aspect of what Williams said was a lie.
Some parts of what KD said may be true and the ESPN host may not have worded it correctly. This could be what caused Kevin Durant to blow up in the ‘SidelineSources’ comment section, an astonishing, 14 minutes following the post being uploaded. Jay Williams is yet to respond to this accusation.
