The player is being heavily linked to a return to his old side
Failing to guide Juventus past the round of 16 for a second year running, Cristiano Ronaldo’s time at Juventus looks to be nearing its end.
Although the Portuguese player still has a year left on his contract at the Serie A side, Juventus are said to be eager to monetise on the player. With the Italian club unwilling to extend Ronaldo’s deal, reports are emanating about Juventus willing to let go off Ronaldo for a platy 25 million pounds.
The first club to be linked to Ronaldo is Real Madrid. The La Liga giants are reportedly extremely eager to indulge in Ronaldo’s services given the cut price tag he’s bound to be available for.
Real Madrid Open Talks With Ronaldo
Spanish sports journalist, Josep Pedrerol has gone onto provide a massive update on Ronaldo’s future. Speaking about the Portugal player’s future, Pedrerol has gone onto claim that Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes and Real Madrid are already engaged in negotiations.
“Jorge Mendes has spoken with Real Madrid about the possibility of Cristiano returning,” Pedrerol told El Chiringuito.
Real Madrid’s current manager, Zidane meanwhile spoke about Real Madrid when quizzed about the player’s return.
“You know what he is, what he has done and how much love we have for him. He made history here, he’s magnificent. Now, he is a Juve player and I cannot tell you anything about what they (media) are saying. He’s a Juve player and I have to respect these things,” Zidane said.
Ronaldo flourished and thrived as a player during his spell at Real Madrid with him going onto lift a gargantuan two La Liga trophies and four Champions League titles. The player spearheaded his side’s consummate success with him netting on a staggering 450 occasions.
Ronaldo had subsequently decided to make the switch to Juventus where he’s lifted one Serie A trophy. The player is currently the side’s top scorer in the league with the 27 goals to his name, ones which take his tally to an impressive 97 in 121 matches for the Italian club.
