Jorginho’s double-footed tackle on Antoine Griezmann has left the Frenchman in pain.
Antoine Griezmann made his Barcelona debut while taking on Chelsea in a friendly game, but it did not go up to the plan in the first half. The Frenchman was forced to receive treatment in the sidelines, courtesy to double-footed tackle from Jorginho.
When both the players were running for a 50-50 challenge, Chelsea midfielder laid his foot on his opponent. This altered the doctors who ran to the pitch assisting the new signing.
Even though Griezmann was the favourite to win the battle, Jorginho was not prepared to relax for a second. While going for the ball, the Italian left his foot on Griezmann’s legs. This interrupted the game before doctors consulted him.

Jorginho’s nasty lunge on Griezmann was the talk of the first half. Here’s some reaction from Twitter:
That Jorginho tackle on Griezmann is fucking awful.
Pre-season is laid back, but we still need to be giving out cards for tackles. No problem with no yellows for things like shirt pulls, but tackles need sanctioning. That’s a red card challenge.

That was a nasty challenge from Jorginho. They both went in sliding, but Jorginho had his studs up and went right at Griezmann. #FCBarcelona #CFC #FCBCHE #RakutenCup

Tammy Abraham’s only goal is the separation point in the half time.
