Martial on Solskjaer: The Manchester United star interacted with the media ahead of the game against PSG.
Manchester United have been in brilliant form ever since the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The side is yet to lose a game under his charge, having won 10.
United climbed to the fourth position in the league table last weekend after their 3-0 win over Fulham. The side will now take on PSG in the round-of-16 of the Champions League.
Solskjaer and Anthony Martial interacted with the media ahead of the game against the French giants.
The French forward talked about Solskjaer’s effect on the side and also made a major admission over his future at the club.
Martial on Solskjaer:
Anthony Martial joined the Norweigan caretaker manager ahead of the clash against PSG in the Champions League.
He stated that the players are enjoying the football under Solskjaer, and admitted that Mourinho’s style of football was difficult to play with.
Good to hear. Martial is absolute quality but tap ins aren’t really his thing. Reckon he can get more goals from crosses through to the back post. A bit like how Sterling has added that to his game in the last 18 months or so and, in the process, around 10 more goals per season. https://t.co/HNN7sasPR8

“Well we’ve now got a coach with different intentions; a different approach,” Martial began. “Perhaps it’s easier for us to play this style of football than the one of the last coach.
“I think when the new coach came in he had a lot of confidence and determination. That’s really helpful. He has a lot of confidence in us and we’re trying to pay him back in kind.”
He also reflected on his individual progress under Solskjaer, stating that the manager wants him to go “ahead of defender.”
“He’s asking me to attack more, that’s my job after all. He’s asking me to be more decisive. I can only say we all continue to play like this.
“Ole has said that to me, as well as other managers, and I think if I can get ahead of defender then I will score more.”
Martial on United being favourites, “I don’t think we’re necessarily favourites, but obviously they have some absentees which is perhaps to our advantage, but they have many players to come in.”

The French forward also confirmed that the players want Solskjaer to stay as the permanent manager of the club.
“Well obviously things are going really well at the moment and we’re pleased to have him with us, so yes, we’d like him to stay,” said Martial.
At the moment, Solskjaer’s term with Manchester United will end at the end of the season.
