Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid: Despite his dismissal of the speculations, there have been growing rumors that Mourinho is wanted by Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have made a disastrous start to their season, which has led to the sacking of manager Julen Lopetegui, merely four months after his appointment.

The Spanish side is currently 9th in the La Liga table, with only 14 points from 10 games. Real Madrid also announced that Santiago Solari, who played for Real Madrid between 2000-2005, will take on the managerial role for a provisional basis.

However, the search for a new manager is still under process, according to various reports from Spain. Real Madrid were heavily linked with Antonio Conte after the El Clasico defeat, and former club president has now made some interesting comments over possible replacements.

Ramon Calderon has indicated that a former Real Madrid could return for a second stint with the club.

Mourinho to Real Madrid:

Jose Mourinho managed Real Madrid for three seasons, between 2011-2014, where he won a La Liga title with the club. Florentino Perez now wants Mourinho at Real Madrid again, according to former club president Ramon Calderon.

However, Calderon also admitted that the move to bring Jose Mourinho is unlikely to succeed.

“I’m sure the president is thinking of Mourinho, he is always the coach he would like to have at Real, but he’s with Man United now,” Calderon said in Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.

“Mourinho is the only coach Perez has respected up to now. He gave him all the power for the first time in his life, which was very unusual.

“It’s true that he’s been in touch with Jose in the last few years trying to bring him here again, but being with Man United I think now it’s not possible.”

Calderon also stated that Pochettino would fit Real Madrid well, but like Mourinho, it is difficult to persuade him to leave England.

“For sure, he’s proving that at Tottenham, but he has a contract in force at Tottenham and I think he’s willing to stay there,” said Calderon.

The former Real Madrid president, however, believes Mourinho would come to Real Madrid if he leaves Manchester United. “If he leaves Manchester United I’m sure he’ll be here again,” said Calderon.
