Jurgen Klopp: Juventus legend wants Liverpool boss to take in charge of Italian outfit

Claudio Marchisio has named Jurgen Klopp as his preferred manager at Juventus.

Former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio says he prefers Jurgen Klopp at Juventus should Massimiliano Allegri be shown the exit door. The Italian International has won the league title, but he is not able to end the Champions League drought in Turin.

Juventus were dumped out of the Champions League by Ajax in the Quarterfinals. Several questions were raised to Massimiliano Allegri, whose football was labelled as ‘out-of-date’ following the exit from the competition. Cristiano Ronaldo bailed Juventus in the previous round, but the Portuguese International was not able to repeat the same foot in the last eight.

Speaking to Tutto Sport, Juventus legend, who is currently plying his trade with Russian outfit Zenit St. Petersburg, said: “Who I’d like if Allegri departs? Jurgen Klopp. I love his game & I like his way of playing football, he would do very well in Italian football.”

Jurgen Klopp is yet to win a silverware with Liverpool since joining the club three years back, but he has made an enormous progression to reinstate them as European giants. He produced an exhilarating title race with Pep Guardiola last season, but fell short by just one point.

He has a fantastic chance to end the trophy drought at Anfield as they prepare for the Champions League finals. The Reds produced one of the finest comebacks in the history of football by overcoming Barcelona 4-0 in the second leg. The German will be coy to carry the same momentum to the finals against Tottenham Hotspur at Wanda Metropolitano in the capital city of Spain on June 1.

Here’s how Twitter reacted..

What’s next?

It is next to impossible to lure Jurgen Klopp away from Liverpool currently. Liverpool will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the finals of the Champions League at Wanda Metropolitano on June 1.
