In a sensational move, Juventus are keen on signing Paul Pogba back from Manchester United.

Juventus have had one of the most productive transfer periods in recent memory. The Italian champions managed to land Emre Can on a free transfer before going on to pull off the shocking signing of Cristiano Ronaldo. Later, they even managed to re-sign Leonardo Bonucci, all after Douglas Costa’s deal was made permanent.

The Old Lady is now plotting a sensational deal for Paul Pogba. The midfielder joined Manchester United in 2016 from Juventus after four sizzling years in Italy. However, failure to meet with expectations at United under Mourinho’s flawed system led to negative relations with his manager.

He is now on the radar of Juventus who are looking to formulate a return.

The world champion is one of Juventus’ two man shortlist for a midfielder. The other is Lazio and Serbia sensation Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. Juventus’ sporting director Pavel Nedved dropped a hint about business still to come in the transfer market. He told Tuttosport: “It’s not over yet.”

Manchester United are unwilling to sell off Pogba just two years into his second spell with them. The Old Trafford outfit is also in the market for players who could replace Pogba but there are no great replacements available. Milinkovic-Savic was on their radar but he has committed his future to Lazio and is soon expected to pen a new deal.

Time is also short for Manchester United to act as there are just six days left until Premier League clubs can sign players, while they are allowed to sell. The Red Devils are currently focused on signing a central defender and right winger. In comparison to their rivals, Mourinho’s men have been incompetent in the transfer market. They only signed Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant during the entire summer and failed to make a big money signing.
