Kevin Owens: Real Reason behind the pipe bomb on WWE SmackDown and what this means for Shane McMahon

Kevin Owens ran rampant on the mic this Tuesday night on SmackDown as he bashed Shane McMahon for hogging all the TV time. He complained that there were better wrestlers in the promotion who could lay a claim to be the best wrestler in the world and yet failed to feature on the program because of Shane’s monopolization of the limelight.

Owens was chased out of the stadium by security. However, it didn’t matter to the fans; He had already said enough. The former Universal champion had made his point; One with which the fans wholeheartedly agreed.

WrestlingNew.co have reported that the shoot promo was written in to kickstart the phasing out of Shane McMahon. They have reported that the company is paying attention to what people are saying on social media about the product and are trying to implement the change.

Shane McMahon, who originally only wrestled in the big 4 prior to his mega push, is now treated as the biggest heel in the company. In the years prior, McMahon has been a Wrestlemania and Survivor Series regular, mostly operating as an authority figure otherwise. However, since his feud with The Miz, Shane has been thrusted higher up the card with each passing month.

The prodigal son was at one point involved in two feuds simultaneously. One with The Miz and the other with Roman. He has beaten the Miz on all occasions and is yet to lose to Roman either. However, their feud is still ongoing and will most likely result in the Big Dog getting his big W on the biggest party of the Summer: SummerSlam.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
