Koulibaily to Manchester united: Red Devils submit massive bid for Napoli star

Koulibaily to Manchester united: Red Devils submit massive bid for Napoli star as Ole Solskjaer set to bring defensive reinforcements.

This season Mancheter United struggled heavily at the back as underwhelming exhibits by the defenders led to disappointing results.

Thus, Ole Solskjaer was keen to land Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli to end his defensive concerns before the start of next season.

Therefore, according to a report by The Daily Mirror, Manchester United have offered a €150 million mega-fee for the 27-year-old defender.

It seems, Manchester United are willing to open their bank this summer after facing a humiliating sixth position in the final Premier league standings.

The Senegalese-defender is a prime target for the Red Devils in defense this summer. Further, Manchester United will be able to afford this deal, if they are able to transfer liabilities from the club and the club agrees to sell Paul Pogba for a colossal fee to Real Madrid.

However, it would be difficult to land Koulibaly as he is a crucial player in Carlo Ancelotti’s team. Additionally, the Napoli manager thinks highly of him as he openly regards him as the best-center back in the world.

Whereas, Kouilibaily recently signed a new contract with the Naples based club, tying him up until 2023 summer, thus, a figure so high also might not tempt Napoli to sell the player.

Although, it has been reported that in 2021 Koulibaly’s buy-out clause will become active, which is set at €150 million, but Manchester United need immediate reforms in defense.

Adding further, Manchester United’s absence from the Champions league in the following season will certainly not convince the player to make a transfer to England.

Hence, it seems unlikely that the Red Devils will be able to pull this deal, despite the lucrative offer they are reportedly ready to offer.
