Kurt Angle talks about CM Punk returning to the WWE

During his time in the WWE, CM Punk was one of the biggest stars in the company. The star from Chicago was a bonafide main eventer and sold out more shows that most wrestlers on the roster.

Punk was so hot that at one point, he sold more merchandise that John Cena who at the time was the most promoted wrestler in the company. Punk’s huge legion of fans absolutely loved him and wanted him to be at the front and center of the company at all times.

But after a major falling out with Vince and Triple H, CM Punk decided that he had had enough and walked out of the company. In what was one of the most shocking exits in recent times, Punk left the company right after the Royal Rumble and has vowed to never return to the company.

While he is adamant that he is done with the WWE, Vince himself believes that there will be time when Punk will come back. Eventually everyone who leaves the company comes back home, as they realize that this was where they felt like a superstar.

Kurt Angle is the most recent example of someone who left the company and returned home years later to a hero’s welcome. In a recent interview, Angle was quizzed about whether he felt Punk could make a return to the company.

This is what Angle said,

“Anything is possible. I think so.”

While Punk went to the UFC, he had a shocking first round loss and has since not been seen in the octagon. While it is expected that Punk will return to fight one more time, there have been reports that NJPW have offered a huge contract to Punk to join the Bullet Club.

One thing is for sure, if Punk does indeed return to the WWE he would surely blow to the roof off the arena.
