KXIP vs DC Man of the Match: Who was awarded Man of the Match in KXIP vs DC, as DC imploded in the end to hand the win to KXIP

KXIP vs DC got a little more interesting than most people would have predicted, especially after how the DC lower-order imploded when they should have strolled to a win.

With just 166 on the board, not a lot of people would have given the Kings XI any chance, especially because of the surface at Mohali. Defending a score at Mohali can be a difficult ask, largely because of the ground dimensions and the pitch. But today, thanks to brain fade from DC, 166 proved to be enough, as DC were bowled out for 152, losing their last 7 wickets for 8 runs.

Rishabh Pant and Colin Ingram were cruising along, but wanting to finish the game off a little early got to them and DC just faltered big time, handing the win on a plate to the Kings XI.

Sam Curran starred for KXIP, as he took the first hattrick of the IPL 2019 season, taking 4 wickets in total and also helping the Kings XI get off to a brisk start in the 1st innings in the absence of Chris Gayle.

KXIP vs DC Man of the Match

Sam Curran was awarded the Man of the Match in the KXIP vs DC game for his impactful performance with both bat and ball. He was replacing Chris Gayle in today’s line up, as the big Jamaican had a slight niggle. And he did so wonderfully, winning the game for his team.

Curran was obviously very thrilled with his performance and shed light on how he went about his business today

“Great win for the guys. I tried to put a performance for my team. Luckily enough, we scraped to 166, all the six bowlers were excellent. I have worked a lot on by batting over the last few months. I like to work hard on my batting, bowling and fielding.” Sam Curran said.

“I have opened in school cricket, but think that was the first time in professional cricket. Hopefully, we keep winning games. I didn’t rally know, The crowd got really loud, I couldn’t hear myself. Ash told me to do what I do. Ryan Harris was standing at the third man region. Against the Iocal batters, I had to ask our players, where does he hit. Shami got two amazing overs in the end which helped.” he added.
