Kylian Mbappe tested for Coronavirus ahead of Champions League clash vs Dortmund. The French forward missed training due to illness this week.
Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe has been tested for Coronavirus after missing training according to French publication L’Équipe. The report states that the 21-year old has been ill in the past week, suffering from severe angina.

The results of the tests are expected to arrive by Wednesday morning. However, it’s believed that Mbappe will likely be cleared of having the virus with ‘the first elements point in the direction of a negative test’. Regardless, given he has complained of a sore throat and his illness was bad enough for him to skip training, they are evidently taking the necessary precautions.

He is likely to miss the return Champions league fixture against Dortmund though.
The aforementioned match will take place behind closed doors in an attempt to keep the games going while still finding a way to combat Coronavirus. In fact, the Serie A has been suspended until April 3. While in France’s Ligue 1 matches with more than 1,000 supporters will be played behind closed doors until April 15.
The La Liga fixtures for the next fortnight are also set to be played behind closed doors. It only seems to be a matter of time before the Premier League follows suit.
There have also been reports that suggest that UEFA are considering cancelling both the Champions League and Europa League after the last-16. While there must now be serious doubts over Euro 2020, which is being held all over Europe.
