Carmelo has been on the Rockets’ roster all through this season, but the management had earlier declared that they weren’t looking to play Melo.

Technically, Rockets could necessarily waive Melo, but according to unnamed league sources they aren’t looking to go down that road.
According to reports published a couple of days ago, Melo had found multiple suitors and just had to make a decision before the trade deadline.
Now, with the history that LeBron and Melo, it was only obvious that a Carmelo Anthony to Lakers rumor would do the rounds before a final decision was announced.
But LeBron has done something more to add more fuel to the ‘Melo to Lakers’ rumors, as he has gone onto like an image of Carmelo Anthony in a Lakers jersey.

Now, Melo’s career seemed to be down in the dumps after Rockets decided to let him be.
However, LeBron has spoken about how he would love play with Melo and a move to the Lakers could revive Melo’s career and fulfil LeBron’s wish of playing with his dear friend.
Carmelo Anthony may be done in Houston. LeBron James and Melo obviously go way back. LeBron told @HowardBeck he'd love to play with Melo (along with CP3/Wade) "for 1 or 2 seasons" before retiring. If Carmelo is waived, it'll be interesting to see if Bron and Melo finally team up. pic.twitter.com/qSDk3eNiOC

The style of play that the Lakers and LeBron have, they are in search for a good 3 point shooter.
LeBron likes to drive to the ring and then bunt the ball out for a good shooter to take advantage of the free space.
However, in the current Lakers roster, there isn’t any player who can help LeBron execute that kind of play for long periods of time.
Melo, with his impressive 3 point shooting can help LeBron and the Lakers get a new dimension to their game.
Do you think LeBron will able to recruit Melo to the Lakers.
