"LeBron James, Kobe Bryant would've never...": Fans mock the 2020 Finals MVP for retiring to the locker room midway through 4th Quarter

NBA Fans roast Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James as he left the game early with over 5 minutes left to play in Game 5

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of the Pheonix Suns tonight. The Suns blew the Lakers out 115-85 in Game 5. With this win, the Suns now have retaken the series lead at 3-2. The series now heads back to Los Angeles for Game 6.

Devin Booker led the way for the Suns, scoring 30 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and dishing 5 assists. Chris Paul had to exit the game early, with an apparent shoulder injury. In his absence, Cameron Payne scored a quick 16 points and handled things on the court.

As for the Lakers, apart from LeBron James, the entire team looked like a big mess. LBJ recorded 24 points and 7 assists. Apart from him, Talen Horton Tucker recorded a double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Kyle Kuzma scored 15 points, but it was all in vain.

Fans react to LeBron James leaving the game early

With 5.42 left in the 4th Quarter, the Suns were up 105-73. LeBron James got up from the bench, and was seen making his way back to the locker room.

The Lakers’ head coach Frank Vogel said LeBron left early to start his treatment.

However, the fans did not buy that at all. What LeBron did does not sit right for the team’s morale. Even though your team is losing, it isn’t sportsman-like to leave the game midway. One has to either play or sit through the whole game. People even made comparisons to the late Kobe Bryant.

The Lakers would have one last chance to set things right, as the Suns make their way to Staples Center for Game 6 on Thursday.
