For all the talk of Diego Costa being banished from Chelsea and whether or not Alvaro Morata will replace the striker, people tend to forget that the English champions have another high profile striker in their ranks.
18 months ago, Michy Batshuayi was a highly coveted striker, as most of the top clubs in Europe were looking to add him to their ranks. But a poor debut season at Chelsea has seen his stock plummet, as the striker is now on the fringes of the starting eleven.

Ironically, it was Batshuayi’s goal that clinched Chelsea the title last season, which led many people to believe that he may have turned the corner at Stamford Bridge.
In all fairness, it has only been two matches but Batshuayi’s performances so far have not given anyone reason to believe that things could change in the near future.
With the all the confusion surrounding Costa, Michy was presented with a golden opportunity to shine in his absence and make the striker’s position his own. But an unimpressive start to the season has stopped that from happening.
Now we hear that French club, Lille are looking to prepare a 40 million offer for Batshuayi and offer him an exit out of London.
Chelsea are already short of strikers at the moment, which is why this deal is unlikely. But if there is any truth to the Aubameyang rumours, then it is possible that Conte might be ready to part ways with Batshuayi.
It is highly unlikely though!
