Having recently suffered an ankle injury, Lionel Messi is all set to be out of action for atleast the course of the side’s immediate clash. The club confirmed that their top scorer would be out of action for the club’s fixture against Eibar on Tuesday.
The injury is yet to settle down with Messi being termed unviable to even return to training before his side’s forthcoming scrimmage against Eibar. While there’s no date been circled on for the player’s return, reports suggest he could be out for the club’s fixture against Huesca in 2021.
Messi is currently undergoing treatment on his right ankle with the player said to be recovering well. The club has over the course of this season treated Messi with extreme care with manager Koeman leaving him behind in Spain for two of the club’s Champions League fixture.
This will be the first time he misses any match due to injury this season with the player being said to make a return to training starting Wednesday.
