Watch the video compilation of Lionel Messi which proves that he is the most complete player to have played the game.

Lionel Messi is one of the very few players who will be remembered by plenty of generations. Argentine International has done enough to be warranted as the best player from his homeland despite not lifting the prestigious World Cup which Diego Maradona managed to do.

The 31-year-old finished runners up in the World Cup once and Copa America thrice in a hard-bitten International career. However, he has won every available trophy with his club, FC Barcelona. Since joining as a boy in 2003, Lionel Messi took huge strides and has become the top scorer in the history of the club.

Not only did he topped the chart in the club, but he is also the current top scorer in the La Liga. He has won 32 trophies with FC Barcelona and has been the integral player of the club over the last decade.

When he is on the mood, Lionel Messi is not relentless and has the capability to beat any defender in the world. Paul Scholes, who scored the winner against Barcelona in the Semifinals of the Champions League hilariously revealed that he decided to stay away from Lionel Messi as far as possible to ease his burden.

The Argentine International has got it all – pace, power, dribbling, nimble feet, and shooting from long ranges. He has played 856 games for his club and country, finding the back of the net on 682 goals which is a mouthwatering record.

Lionel Messi is one of the gifted players to have ever played the game. His natural talent is something which has often been talked by the fans and pundits.

If you’ve ever watched the Argentinian in real life, then you struggle to explain what makes him so good.

He brings you to the edge of your seat, time after time. His unpredictability is something we haven’t seen in years. Left or right? Side to side?

Having earned millions of fans around the world, it will be a hard day when he decides to hang up his boots. Fans, who have witnessed his magic over the last decade will know how much he brings to the table for the club.

He is not only a skillful player, but he is a leader on the pitch. Many people will not recognize that because the Argentine stays quiet and does not yell at his teammates. His leadership qualities were spotted on Wednesday night when he encouraged his teammates and told his colleagues what to do when Lyon found the back of the net.

The game finished 5-1 in the favour of Barcelona as they qualified for the last four of the Champions League. Messi ran the show by scoring two and setting up another two to complete a rout.

The Barcelona forward will turn 32 this June, but seems to be getting better as a wine. He has scored 36 goals and set up another 21 for his teammates from just 36 games this campaign. Despite being involved in the build-up from the defense so much, Messi is currently the top scorer in the top five European leagues.

Former Messi’s teammate Ronaldinho believes that Lionel Messi is the best to have played the game ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldinho: “He [Messi] is the best in history, no doubt. Nobody has done what Messi’s done. I hope he plays 20 more years. Those who love football would love to have him here for much longer. I think when he leaves, nobody will be able to take the number 10 of Leo.”

It will be a tough time for Barcelona when he decided to retire. When Real Madrid are struggling without Cristiano Ronaldo, the same could happen to Barcelona. Those two are absolutely irreplaceable.
