Liverpool vs RB Salzburg Dream11: The SportsRush brings you the Dream11 prediction between Liverpool and Red Bull Salzburg.

Liverpool will take on Salzburg at Anfield on Wednesday night. The Reds lost their first game, while their opponents were thumping 6-1 victors over Genk.

It was a reasonable performance against Napoli – Jurgen Klopp’s side was unlucky on important decisions going against their way. However, they were not clinical in front of the goal with the front three looked out of rhythm in Italy. They will be hoping to better their performance after edging Sheffield United in the weekend.

On the other hand, Salzburg has been almost impossible to stop in the domestic and European competition. They have scored more than 40 goals in 13 games this season – possessing a huge threat in the offensive areas of the pitch. They are defensively vulnerable, but their brave energy with an abundance of energy will make life tougher for the opposition.

Liverpool are the favourites, although the visitors could stun should they get the better of them.

We shall look at the dream11 prediction between these two sides.

It will be an important game for him to stamp his authority in the defence and he has astute defensive qualities to retain his place.

Virgil Van Dijk: Virgil Van Dijk has been the best defender in the world over the last year. The Dutch International is integral to Liverpool hopes of gaining a clean sheet. The Reds have been slightly underwhelming over the clean sheet part, but they have conceded the least in the league. Virgil Van Dijk can do the defensive job, pick out passes from the back and score from set-pieces too.

Andre Ramalho: Andre Ramalho is the right-sided centre-back for Salzburg. The defender possesses extraordinary traits as he likes to make overlapping runs more often than not. He has three goals in the Austrian Bundesliga and has good stats to back up his goalscoring knack.

He is a proper destroyer and wins plenty of duels in the middle of the park.

Zlatko Junuzović: Zlatko Junuzovic imposes a calm atmosphere in the midfielder for Salzburg. He brings all his experience into the play and dictates the play by sitting back with the defence. He can win duels and pick out passes from the back and assist the forwards.

Takumi Minamino: Takumi Minamino is the right-sided winger for Salzburg. The 24-year-old has the drive and panache to beat defenders with his nimble feet. He also has the pace to back up his authority in the higher end of the pitch. He has scored three goals and two assists in the domestic league.

Dominik Szoboszlai: Dominik Szoboszlai has admitted that he admires Liverpool, but he’d like to game the game into their half and attack. The Hungarian even found the back of the net in the opening game against Genk and could script the same with his absolute technique.

Mohamed Salah (C): Mohamed Salah is not leading the score chart in the Premier League until date, but he has four goals and three assists in the domestic league. He failed to open the scoring against Napoli, but has been menacing with his constant runs behind the opposition defence. Since Salzburg have gaps in between their defence, Salah could take whole advantage of that.

FORWARDS

Roberto Firmino: Roberto Firmino has been one of the best players for Liverpool across all competitions, but he shines brightly in the Champions League to an unthinkable extent. The Brazilian has it all, by picking up passes and goalscoring prowess. He’s the linkup player for Liverpool and is crucial to how the team play.
