Liverpool 4-0 Barcelona: Twitter reactions on Liverpool pulling off the greatest comeback in Champions League history
Liverpool have pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in the history of the Champions League, overcoming a 3-0 defeat from the first leg to go through 4-3 on aggregate. Liverpool had to win 4-0 on the night to go through on aggregate, a scoreline that not many would have expected them to achieve.
But Anfield egged them on, with the players delivering when it needed to overcome that 3-0 deficit. Wijnaldum and Origi played a massive role in the win, scoring two goals each and knocking Barcelona out of the Champions League.
Liverpool were without Salah and Firmino for the game and would have never expected to go out and win the game, but as Klopp said before the game, anything is possible in football. And his team managed to achieve the impossible, with belief, passion and most importantly with composure.
Twitter has gone absolutely crazy for Liverpool after the win, as the club already has a rich history of pulling off comebacks in the Champions League.
Social media has also gone off on Barcelona, for once again surrendering a massive first leg lead to go out of the Champions League.

Alexander-Arnold, 20 years old. People will tell me it’s bad defending, I’m telling you it’s pure intelligence and vision.

Congratulations on getting to the Champions League Final again this season @LFC.
I’ve become something of an expert at cup finals the past few seasons so let Jurgen Klopp know he can ring me any time for advice on how to win.

Monumental effort from Liverpool. Sensational win. Barcelona were so gutless Valverde should be sacked for that defeat alone. Down there with PSG’s bottle job at Camp Nou. Suspect some players won’t survive that result. #LIVBAR

Fair play to Liverpool but it’s absolutely sickening to see as a United fan…more suffering and you just know most of our players are sat at home in their mansions not giving one shit

Absolutely brilliant. No other way to describe the madness at Anfield. Take a bow, Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool. #LIVBAR
