It would not wrong to say that Liverpool has been fortunate enough to skim out positive results in the last few games and even though they were close to losing, they somehow managed to remain undefeated in this season.

Thus, directly effecting Pep Guardiola’s side, who also pose the same quality in the squad but have been subject to two defeats in the last 11 games in the Premier League.

Although it would be unfair to blame Liverpool for such out of luck instances, rather the Reds should be appreciated for their undying attitude on the field and grit to win matches.

This strong mentality by Liverpool has enabled them to make last-minute come-backs, this relentless attitude by the Kops also helped them to defeat Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final.

With this, we will list out 4 instances where Liverpool has been fortunate enough to make them reach the top of the table of Premier League.

1. Liverpool Vs Leicester City

4 times Liverpool

Liverpool’s match against Leicester City was a classic thriller match, both the sides high on intensity were playing to and fro against each other and indeed it was an entertaining game.

The Reds scored the opener through Sadio Mane’s strike in the 40th minute and from there they did dominate the game until James Maddison scored an equalizer through a sensational strike.

With this, the final ten minutes of the game was really intense but a last-minute penalty to Liverpool after Marc Albrighton trips Mane on the floor enabled James Milner to convert the score to 2-1.

The luck over here was that Liverpool got a penalty just in the final minute of the game, and moreover, there were doubts on the foul given to Liverpool as Mane was accused of diving and exaggerating the contact.
