Liverpool Vs Barcelona Dream11 prediction: Dream11 fantasy tips for LIV Vs BAR

Liverpool Vs Barcelona Dream11 Prediction: The SportsRush brings you the Dream11 fantasy picks between Liverpool and Barcelona.

Liverpool will face off Barcelona in the second leg of the Champions League Semifinals at Anfield on Tuesday. The Reds have a mountain to climb in front of their home supporters after conceding three at Nou Camp six days before. Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi bagged their goals to stay in the driving seat currently.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were on a ten-run win streak before being blown away by Barcelona previous week. But, they were able to reclaim another three points against Newcastle United and they were forced to work hard. At the other side, Barcelona rested the majority of their squad and played Ousmane Dembele and Arthur Melo in the starting lineup against Celta Vigo.

In this article, we shall look at the Dream11 picks between Liverpool and FC Barcelona.

Liverpool Vs Barcelona Dream11 Team

Formation: 4-4-2

GOALKEEPER

Alisson Becker: Alisson Becker has been immense for Liverpool since his arrival at the club. The Brazilian has done well to claim 20 clean sheets in the Premier League alone. Barcelona will apply defensive approach throughout the game and Alisson will have little to do because of the Blaugrana’s grip in this tie.

DEFENDERS

Trent Alexander-Arnold: During the first leg, Barcelona were aiming to cut down the supply of Andy Robertson, who has 11 assists in the Premier League alone. The English full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold also has the same number of assists in the competition and looks to start the game on Tuesday.

Gerard Pique: Barcelona’s defence dealt with the air balls brilliantly in the first leg. That was down to Gerard Pique who was cutting down the crosses from either side to keep the scoreline intact. Besides being a top-notch defender, Pique has the capability to nick a goal or two from the set piece.

Virgil Van Dijk: Virgil Van Dijk defended well for most parts of the game at Nou Camp, but the individual brilliance of Messi with instant reflex and world-class free-kick proved to be the difference. The Dutch International registered his name on the score sheet against Newcastle and has involvements with the final third more often.

Jordi Alba: Jordi Alba enjoyed plenty of room in the first leg and loved to explore through the left wing, thereby causing trouble to Joe Gomez constantly. He produced an excellent delivery to pick out Luis Suarez for the first goal at Nou Camp. He remains a superior threat from the counter attacks as he likes to link up with his forwards.

MIDFIELDERS

Ivan Rakitic: Ivan Rakitic had an excellent game and the Croatian International did well to keep the ball moving rather than losing possession. The midfielder likes to link up with the forwards and get his name on the score sheet.

Jordan Henderson: Jordan Henderson has been deployed in an attacking position over the last few weeks. The English International has one goal and four assists from the last six games and continues to possess serious threat by linking up with the attackers. He will have his say in front of the goal on Tuesday.

Xherdan Shaqiri: In the absence of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, Xherdan Shaqiri will be part of the forward line. The Swiss International has not played much since the kick start of the new year, but he will be cardinal to Liverpool’s hopes of creating chances. He was finding his feet in the first part of the season and will be hoping to replicate the same against Barcelona.

Sadio Mane (C): Sadio Mane will act as the striker on Tuesday. The Senegalese International has been one of the best players in the Premier League since the turn of the New year scoring goals for fun week in week out. He is the second player to register his name on the team sheet in every knock out rounds he has played since last season.

FORWARDS

Lionel Messi (VC): Lionel Messi was kept quiet throughout the game, but the Argentine International arose by making full use of moments. The Argentine International scored twice in the second half, including that ridiculous free-kick to put the tie beyond the sights of Liverpool.

Luis Suarez: Luis Suarez looked lively throughout the tie and looks likely to give trouble to the Reds defence again. The Uruguyuan International has suffered without chances and he might have a tough game as Valverde would like to defend deep and see out the game.
