Liverpool Vs Chelsea Line up: How Jurgen Klopp's Reds will line up against the Blues?

Here is how Liverpool could line up against Chelsea in the Super Cup.

Liverpool will take on Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup in Vodafone Arena, Istanbul on Wednesday. The Reds, who won the Champions League will compete for this trophy against the reigning Europa League winners.

Jurgen Klopp’s side got off to a flier with a 4-1 victory against Norwich City at Anfield on Friday. The Reds looked far from convincing, but they tend to pick up results when they are not at their best – reminiscent to their gatherings from last season. That is a solitary reason for them to compete for the Premier League title.

On the other hand, Frank Lampard’s Chelsea were left humiliated at Old Trafford on Sunday after succumbing to a 4-0 loss. The scoreline did not tell the whole story as the Blues had plenty of positives to pick out from that game. They could be without their key midfielder N’Golo Kante for Wednesday.

Liverpool enter this game as firm favourites, although the possibility of writing off Chelsea could prove too costly at times. It will be an intriguing contest, nonetheless.

We shall look at Liverpool’s team ahead of Wednesday’s Super Cup clash.

INJURY

Liverpool’s shot-stopper Alisson Becker, who sustained a calf injury against Norwich City, will sit out for next few weeks. Nathaniel Clyne will continue to sit on the sidelines after an ACL injury.

SUSPENSIONS

There are no suspensions heading into this game.

LIKELY XI

Liverpool: Adrian, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Virgil Van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino.
