Chelsea’s Predicted Lineup Vs Liverpool: Here is how Chelsea could line up against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

Chelsea will travel to Merseyside for the second time in a month as the Blues take on Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday. Maurizio Sarri’s side has been banking on confidence following their victory over West Ham and Slavia Praha within four days in the Premier League and Europa League respectively.

The introduction of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek into the starting lineup has reinforced things at Stamford Bridge, but the defensive stability has always been brought into the spotlight under their manager Sarri. David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger have not been at their best following a tremendous start to the Premier League campaign. The Chelsea boss has to decide between Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri in the left-back department.

Chelsea fans will have reminiscing memories over the 2014 encounter which saw the Reds go down 2-0 down to the former Blues manager Jose Mourinho at Anfield. However, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that his side does not look back at that horrific moment and sees only positivity among the players and fans as they strive to lift the Premier League title.

The head-to-head statistics prove that the Blues have the slightest of advantage over Liverpool in the Premier League history. Liverpool have not beaten Chelsea in the last eight trips across all competitions which is another stat coming as a sweetener for the Chelsea fans.

Injury News

For the first time, Maurizio Sarri will have a fully-fit squad without no injuries. There are no suspensions which would ease the pressure for the Blues.

Maurizio Sarri reiterated that the club is looking for three points for the top four finish, but no frustrate Liverpool and dent their title hopes.

“At this moment we are fighting for the top four so we need points. We know it will be difficult to gain points in Liverpool but we have to try in every way,”

“To face Liverpool is going to be difficult for us but every game now is difficult. They are one of the best teams in England right now, they reached the final of the Champions League last year and at Anfield, it is always difficult.”

“We know well the risks of this match but we also know that when we are able to play at 100 per cent of our potential, we can gain points anywhere. We are in a very good physical and mental condition right now.” said Sarri.

Chelsea: Kepa Arrizabalaga, César Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger, David Luiz, Emerson Palmieri, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Eden Hazard, Gonzalo Higuain.
