Liverpool vs Manchester United highlights: Liverpool beat Manchester United 3-1 to go top of the table in the Premier League.
Liverpool produced an emphatic display against Jose Mourinho’s side, who looked hapless throughout the game, as the hosts won 3-1.
Jurgen Klopp’s men ran through the Manchester United defence on multiple occasions, making an incredible 38 goal attempts against the side.
Sadio Mane gave the host side the lead early in the game, as Ashley Young lost him inside the box. However, a mistake from Alisson gave Manchester United an equalizer through Jesse Lingard.
In the second half, Manchester United never looked threatening in front of the goal, and Xherdan Shaqiri’s quick brace sealed the game for Liverpool. Both the goals were deflected off the United defenders, but matter little, for Liverpool were consistently on the attack and never looked like conceding the goal.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the game:
United’s £89M asset rotting on the bench while #LFC £14M signing runs United ragged. The two clubs heading in contrasting directions.

Liverpool had 36 shots against Manchester United today. Only one Manchester United player has had at least 36 shots in the Premier League this season: Paul Pogba.

I hope Mourinho stays at United forever.

Tomorrow marks 3 years since Jose Mourinho was sacked from Chelsea. Here’s Mourinho’s 3rd season with Man United summary: Martial, Pogba and De Gea want to leave. Rashford and Bailly declined. Smalling renewed. Lukaku making Bebe signing look good.

No method, no pattern, no hope. United 11 points off 4th place now. Mourinho being kept in place because Ed Woodward doesn’t want to admit to another failure.

Ultimately, Mourinho should be sacked for his public spats with his players. Criminal to leave Pogba out of a game of this magnitude. Even at 1-1 he couldn’t just make the right call for the team. He cares more about winning his personal battles than what’s best for the club.

I just bumped into Romelu Lukaku and said You must be full of energy still. He said Why? I said Because you spent that whole match in Virgil Van Dijk’s pocket.

I’d take Stephen Hawking over Lukaku

I have no idea what Lukaku offers this team.

Jose Mourinho is a master at deception – He’s got some fans thinking that our squad isn’t good enough to challenge.
It’s so wrong. There’s managers out there who’d love to be in control of our current players + resources.
