The match official from the game between Liverpool and Tottenham was seen celebrating the host side’s winner in the final minute.
Liverpool defeated Tottenham in a dramatic fashion as an own goal sent Liverpool up to the top of the table in the league.
Roberto Firmino scored the first goal of the game, but Tottenham equalized in the 70th minute to bring the game level. However, the evening turned into a huge heartbreak for Tottenham as Toby Alderweireld scored an own goal on Mohamed Salah’s shot as the visitors conceded a defeat.
But wait, it wasn’t the only drama which took place at Anfield this evening.
Some fans noticed that a match official celebrated Liverpool’s winner at Anfield on the bench.
Match official celebrates Liverpool’s winner:
As shocking as it may sound, it actually happened at Anfield tonight.
After Liverpool dramatically scored a late winner in the game, a match official was seen fist-pumping on the bench. It isn’t the first time when an official celebrated in this fixture, however.
Only last year, a linesman celebrated a penalty decision in the favour of Tottenham at the same place.
