"Look Out Celtics and Bucks!": Skip Bayless Praises Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving as Nets Record 9-Game Win Streak

The Brooklyn Nets are on absolute fire. When Kevin Durant gave his Bleacher Report interview people assumed the team would be in trouble. However, the Nets have a 20-6 record under Jacque Vaughn. They took down the Cleveland Cavaliers 125-117 tonight, riding on 32 each by Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

With the win tonight, the Nets improve to a nine-game win streak. This is the longest win streak in franchise history since their relocation to Brooklyn.

It’s a big win for the Nets, improving them to the 3rd spot in the East.

KD has been on a tear this season. So far, Durantula has come to play, averaging 30 points on 58.3% shooting, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per contest. He’s been the engine behind the Nets’ success, and has certainly been making a case for MVP.

After the game tonight, Skip Bayless took it to his Twitter to talk about the Nets.

With the win over the Cavs, the Nets improve to a 22-12 record, good for the 3rd seed. They’re half a game behind the 2nd seeded Bucks and two games behind the #1-seeded Celtics. With the way the Nets have been playing and their next stretch of games, they would like to close the gap and try and get to the top spot.

Along with KD and Kyrie, the Nets bench and role players have been performing excellently as well. If they keep continuing to do so, the Nets pose a big threat in the East.

KD had a historic night

While scoring 32 points, grabbing nine rebounds, and dishing five assists, Kevin Durant made NBA History today. He passed Tim Duncan on the all-time Scoring List.

Not only that, he also passed Kobe Bryant for the 21st spot on the All-Time 3-point FGM.

If KD keeps playing the way he has been, it would be hard to deny him his 2nd regular season MVP honors.
