The rapper took to Twitter to express his dismay and disgruntlement with the club’s ownership

The last week has seen the world of football stand up as one unit. Usually divided, supporters of clubs world over have risen in one voice, showing unison against the blatant greed and money grabbing tactics by some of the biggest names in world football.

Although the 12 clubs involved in the inception of the Super League did manage to distance themselves from the league given the colossal and calamitous outrage which followed, the damage had already been done. Supporters took to the streets, lashing out at their owners for deciding to indulge in the exclusive competition.

Akin to everyone, the Glazers haven’t been able to stave off the ever growing calls for their departure as well. The Manchester United owners have seen dissent against them grow with each passing day with the side’s ardent supporters distraught at the American owners.

Chance The Rapper Asks For The Glazers’ Head

While Ed Woodward rendered his resignation in the wake of the protests, people are continuing to go for the Glazers’ head. And adding his voice to the lengthy pile of protesters is rapper Chance The Rapper.

Taking to Twitter to express his dismay and angst at the Glazers, Chance sent out a simple but effective one word tweet. The artist wrote, “LUHG” on the platform which translates to Love United Hate Glazers.

The rapper’s tweet has been widely welcomed by Manchester United supporters. Score of people have appreciated the rapper for taking a public stand and expressing his solidarity with the clarion call to get the Glazers out of the club.

The protests aren’t only limited to the Glazers though. American owners in particular have come under the brunt of these ongoing protests with them said to be the driving forces behind the idea of the Super League.

The now all but dead competition was foraged with the idea of American money making in the world of sport. Whilst almost everyone has decided to desert the league, Florentino Perez continues to stay adamant on his plans to go ahead.
