Both the players are highly talented and possess skills which almost seem like an exhibition whenever they enter the field.
However, their fans continue to argue against each other for their favourite. And one such incident went to unreal levels when a Russian man decided to leave his wife over the debate.
The Russian couple has filed for divorce after constant disagreements over the ‘best player in the world’ a.k.a the G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time). Arsen, a big Lionel Messi fan, filed divorce, after his wife Lyudmila continually claimed that Ronaldo is better than the Argentine.
“Since the beginning of the World Cup, she mocked Messi and said he couldn’t even score a penalty against Iceland,” said the husband, as quoted by Mirror.
“I could not contain myself and told her what I thought about the vain Ronaldo, the Portuguese national team and all the clubs she likes. Then I took my belongings and left her forever,” the husband stated.

However, both Argentina and Portugal were knocked out in the round-of-16 of the World Cup. While France overcame the South American side in an intense match which resulted in a 4-3 loss for Argentina, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal went down 2-1 to Uruguay, thanks to a brace from Edinson Cavani.
