Man United Transfer News: Jurgen Klopp is not happy about Manchester United’s rumours with Bruno Fernandes, after latter impressed him.
Manchester United need certain reinforcements in the squad ahead of the next season. The Red Devils see Bruno Fernandes as a viable option in the middle of the park.
The Portuguese International is reportedly also ready to make his move to the Old Trafford, which surely doesn’t make Klopp happy, as his Liverpool side faced Sporting Lisbon in a pre-season friendly.
The German manager was impressed by the style of play by Fernandes during the 2-2 draw. where the 24-year-old scored and assist. While asking about Manchester United’s link with him, the Reds manager showed his sorrow.
“If he [signs for Man Utd] then we will face him. He’s obviously a really good player,” Klopp said.
“They have already a few really good players, so that will probably make them stronger. It’s not nice, but [Man Utd’s transfer dealings are] not our cup of tea, to be honest.” he further added.
Fernandes opened the scoring in the fourth minute against Liverpool, with his long-range shot forcing an error from Reds goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
Later, the Sporting Lisbon star defeated Trent Alexander Arnold to set up team-mate Marcus Wendel with an expertly-played pass, to get an assist in the match records.
Manchester United are not sure about Paul Pogba’s commitment to the club, and already departure of Ander Herrera creates vacancy in Ole Solskjaer’s squad.
At the same side, Manchester United are also targeting to land Sergej Milinkovic Savic, Sean Longstaff and Christian Eriksen, just in case the English giants fail to land the Portuguese sensation.
Earlier, even Liverpool were also posing interest in buying the Portuguese International, but the demands by Sporting Lisbon made the Merseyside club to quit the negotiations.
