Man United Transfer News: Ole Solskjaer begs Ed Woodward to land sensational midfielder this summer

Man United Transfer News: Ole Solskjaer pleads Ed Woodward to sign Portuguese sensation Bruno Fernandes to bolster midfield in the squad.

Manchester United are reportedly interested in hiring the services of Sporting Lisbon sensation Bruno Fernandes, as the Red Devils are seeking new reinforcements in the squad.

In further speculations, according to a report by a Portuguese outlet Record states that Manchester United manager is begging the Red Devils executive vice-chairman to sign the Portuguese International.

Bruno Fernandes has been exceptional with his display in his last campaign after he had a successful season with Sporting Lisbon, Fernandes finished 2018-19 with 32 goals and 18 assists in 53 games for Lisbon. Additionally, he won the UEFA nations league with Portugal and had a crucial role in its triumph.

The 24-year-old midfielder is not being pursued by Manchester United only, as Tottenham and Manchester City, are also keeping tabs on the player.

Thus, the Portuguese club have since slapped a £62 million asking price for Fernandes’ services, and Woodward is hoping that it can be reduced.

Manchester United’s void in midfield is growing after the departure of Ander Herrera and possible exit of Paul Pogba this summer. Thus, Fernandes seems as a viable option in midfield.

It is further reported that Fernandes’ agent Miguel Pinho was in England last week to hold talks and Solskjaer wants him snapped up before pre-season kicks off next month.

The Portuguese International is set for a move away from Portugal, but is yet to see whether Manchester United will be able to finalize a deal with Sporting Lisbon over the services of the midfielder.
