The Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero sets the Guinness World Record for most goals from halfway line inside 60 seconds.
For a goalkeeper, it’s definitely quite unique.
Sergio Romero participated in MoPlay’s challenge to hit as many goals as possible inside 60 seconds from the halfway line. The goalkeeper’s club teammates, Ander Herrera and Phil Jones also took part in the challenge.
Romero scored an astonishing 20 goals from the halfway line, thus entering the Guinness Book of World Records.
“I didn’t expect it was going to be that tough,” Ander Herrera said after the challenge.

Happy Birthday (32) to the best No.2 in world football. Sergio Romero is such a simple guy, miles away from social networking, drives a fiat to training, never complains to the media, just hard work.

Sergio Romero is currently Manchester United’s back-up keeper to David De Gea and has made appearances in the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup ties for the side. The Argentinian goalkeeper has been solid in United’s FA Cup run so far, as he made key saves against Arsenal and Chelsea to secure a quarterfinal spot.
Romero also holds the club record for the highest percentage of clean sheet since joining Manchester United in 2015.
The Argentinian is likely to be back in action against Wolves at the Molineux Stadium.
Manchester United won the FA Cup in 2016 under Louis van Gaal and conceded a defeat in the final of the competition last year. However, the side looks revitalised under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ever since his arrival in December.
United have lost only once under Solskjaer and is currently 5th in the Premier League table, only a point behind the fourth-placed Arsenal.
Sergio Romero has created a new world record of scoring the most goals from the half way line in one minute. He had to be the best at something after being the best second choice keeper in the world.#MUFC

“He’s been player of the year I don’t know how many years, we’re grateful to have him. Then again, we’ve got Sergio [Romero] and Lee [Grant], fantastic goalkeeper department, I don’t think there’s any manager in the world who’ll beat me in that respect.” #MUFC #mulive

Sergio Romero, 32 and still has years ahead of him. An example of a guy that could clearly be a no 1 in a lot of other teams but is happy to provide back up.

The club is likely to prioritize the FA Cup as the best chance for a silverware this season after their 2-0 loss to PSG in the first leg of the Champions League round-of-16 at Old Trafford. United travel to Paris for the second leg next week.
Meanwhile, the side will return to action in the league later today as they take on Southampton at Old Trafford.
