Man Utd takes decision on permanent manager

Man Utd takes decision on permanent manager: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had an impressive start at the club.

Solskjaer was appointed as the caretaker manager at Manchester United after the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

The Norwegian has had a brilliant start at the club, winning all eight of the games under his charge so far. Earlier this week, he led the side to the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 3-1 win over Arsenal.

At the time of the appointment, the club insisted that while the club has appointed Solskjaer for the interim role, Manchester United will undergo the process of selecting a permanent manager.

And now, English media outlet Mirror Football reports that the club has taken a decision over the permanent role.

Man Utd takes decision on permanent manager:

According to Mirror, Manchester United will continue their process of identifying a permanent manager at Manchester United.

The club is impressed with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s work with the side so far. Apart from getting the results on the pitch, the dressing room environment at Manchester United has also greatly improved under the former United star.

Players like Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard among others have stated that they love working under the new manager.

This has been a significant development as the players’ relationship with former manager Jose Mourinho is one of the major reasons behind the club parting ways with the Portuguese coach.

His fall-out with Pogba was no secret and the duo came out with criticism for one another during their media interaction as well.

According to an insider for Mirror Football, the club will not end their process to identify a permanent manager any time soon.

“It is going fantastically well under Ole, but the club is sticking with a process that will not be concluded until the summer,” said the source, as quoted by Mirror.

The players enjoy working with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, which was evident from Jesse Lingard’s quotes during his appearance in Soccer AM.

“Ole has been great since he came in. He’s given a lot of advice and he’s let us play free which has been amazing,” said Lingard.

“Of course, football you want to play with freedom and play with that smile on your face. He’s let us do that.”
