Man Utd Transfer News: Bruno Fernandes deal 'one step away' from agreement

Bruno Fernandes is just one step away from signing for Manchester United.

Manchester United are close to confirming the agreement of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting CP. The Portuguese midfielder has agreed for a Red Devils move, with the talks in final stages of an agreement.

The former Sampdoria midfielder is on the back of a spectacular season – bagging 31 goals and 17 assists in all competitions. Few days ago, the 24-year-old stated his intention to play for an English club.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Bruno Fernandes is just one step away from signing for Manchester United. The Red Devils, who are long-term admirers, are set to beat off the competitors to his services.

The fee has not been mentioned in the report, but Sampdoria will bag 10% of the amount Manchester United pay to Sporting CP. The 24-year-old won’t have any issues with personal terms and is set to undergo a medical, with Correio de Manha claiming that his agent, Miguel Pinho, is staying in England until a deal is done.

The Red Devils have until August 8th to complete this deal, but Paul Pogba could leave to Juventus or Real Madrid this summer. This deal will help the World Cup winners’ deal to speed things up.

The inevitable departure of Paul Pogba will leave the Red Devils with a huge void, but the former Juventus midfielder never looked assured from day one. He was blowing hot and cold during his three-year stint with the club, before making his stance clear over a potential transfer this summer.

The Italian journalist also confirmed the transfer of Harry Maguire to Manchester United, which has reportedly accelerated last night. These two deals will come as a piece of huge news to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is striving to finish in the Champions League spot.

 Here’s how Twitter has reacted..

What’s next?

The signing of Bruno Fernandes will boost the midfield ranks, which has been average for quite a while.
