Man Utd Transfer News: Gary Neville backs the signing of Crystal Palace defender

Man Utd Transfer news: Gary Neville supports Manchester United in the pursuit of star defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

Manchester United are looking for reinforcements this summer, especially in the defense as the underwhelming resources at the back have costed Manchester United their top-4 finish in the league with their poor performances throughout the season.

Thus, the Red Devils are seeking for brighter prospects to bolster their defense ahead of the next season. Among all the defensive targets of Manchester United, Crystal Palace’s right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is one of the most desired targets of Manchester United this summer.

The English defender has been phenomenal this season as his exhibits for the Eagles this season has made critics regard him as a promising talent.

Considering, Ole Solskjaer’s concerns at the right side of defense has compelled Manchester United to seek the services of Wan-Bissaka.

Futhermore, in an interaction with Gary Neville by the Evening Standard, Gary Neville supported Manchester United’s pursuit of the 21-year-old defender.

“He’s a massive talent and the club, to be fair, have always signed young, emerging British talent,” Neville told the Evening Standard.

“I don’t think that should change and it would seem to me that the club would like to go back down that route and he is one. The price is always going to be big because clubs are wise now to it, you can’t pinch players off clubs for £5 million or £6 million.

“They are wise to it and have the Premier League funding of £100-odd million so they don’t need to panic, they don’t need extra £5 million or £10 million – they want £50 million or £60 million.

On the other hand, Neville justified Crystal Palace’s demand for the player but on the opposite the Red Devils are still reluctant to pay such a massive fee for the youngster.

Nevertheless, if the young defender signs with Manchester United, it will surely be an upgrade over Ashley Young, who has been forced to play over there this season.
