Jadon Sancho has made a decision over a potential move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United have been actively searching for a top-notch right winger to integrate into the starting lineup. With the scouts providing names of the players, Ole Gunnar Solskjer has listed down his shortlist for the summer window. Jadon Sancho sits at the top of that listicle, according to various sources.
The Red Devils were ready to pay 100 million for the teenager, but the hopes of signing have been dashed. According to the English publication, Independent, Jadon Sancho has decided to turn down Manchester United because of poor orchestration of the club over the last few years.
There are now major reservations for the Borussia Dortmund forward if Old Trafford would be the right environment to develop. Solskjaer wanted to add more youngsters in the squad as a part of a long-term plan and this news will come as a blow to the Red Devils boss. Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint Germain are the other three sides to show interest on the youngster.
The Red Devils appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after producing sky-high results before his job was made permanent. It proved to be a disappointment as the club won just two out of the last 12 games in all competitions, henceforth slumping to the sixth position in the league table.
With Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Chelsea already finding themselves in the Champions League group stages, Manchester City could be the only club to miss out on the prestigious European competition should Arsenal beat Chelsea in the finals of the Europa League.
Over the last six years, only Jose Mourinho and Louis Van Gaal have managed to finish in the top four, but they were not able to sustain the same metric again next season. It forced the club to sack them from their duties, paying way for the next manager to take up the role.
It has been the same old story this season as the club struggled to finish in the top four because of the lack of mentality and consistency. It is just a matter of time for Solskjaer to deliver results and prove his resolution with the signings.
