Man Utd Transfer News: Juventus star claims to be keen on to pair with his national team player Paul Pogba ahead of links with Manchester United.
Manchester United are looking for immediate reinforcements this summer especially in the midfield, as an underwhelming campaign last summer made them end 6th in the Premier league table.
Whereas, Juventus are ready to offload Blaise Matuidi this summer, since the signing of Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey has overloaded Old Lady’s midfield. Hence, making him go further below in the pecking order under Maurizio Sarri.
With Matuidi available in the market this summer, Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for him this summer, in order to bolster the squad this summer.
In further advancements, according to a report by the the Corriere di Torino, Juventus midfielder Matuidi is more than willing to join Manchester United superstar Pogba at the Old Trafford.
Pogba was also reported to leave Manchester United this summer, but his astronomical tag price has made him stay for at least one more season.
Thus, a pair by Matuidi and Pogba will surely make an impact, as the duo is successful for the national team too, as they won the World Cup together last summer.
However, it will not last long, as the 32-year-old Matuidi is in the last phase of his career. On the other side, Pogba will most probably leave Manchester United next summer.
Hence, the Red Devils should look for a younger player at this role, who can even play an anchor role after Pogba’s departure next year. Investing something on Matuidi will not provide stability to Ole Solsjaer’s side, which they are looking for since a while.
