Now as per reliable Dutch source, De Telegraaf, Donny van de Beek is set to leave Ajax to sign for Man Utd on a five-year contract. Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Manchester United will bid around €4omillion.
But both sources claim that the amount could go up to €45million with added variables. De Beek is among the highly-rated Ajax players from 2018/19 squad which reached the Champions League semi-final.
Man United are now in talks also with Ajax to sign Van de Beek immediatly after the first official bid to be submitted tonight (around €40m). Man Utd are confident to complete the deal at the start of next week – agreement close to be done as @MikeVerweij reported. 🔴 #MUFC

It would surely bolster Manchester United’s midfield which needs more quality in that department, even though it has a fine duo of Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes.
The Dutch International had an impressive season with Ajax as he was able to amass 10 goals and 11 assists in 37 games across all competitions.
Impressively, Manchester United has defeated Barcelona in this transfer pursuit, which was also a preferred choice for Van De Beek for a long time.
The desire for Jadon Sancho still alive
Manchester United’s primary priority this summer was Jadon Sancho until the owners allegedly refused to fun the deal amidst the Coronavirus crises.
Borussia Dortmund is not ready to negotiate the price and is demanding the money upfront, especially after the shady negotiation attempt by Manchester United.
With this, Sancho seems like a distant dream, even though the player was ready to dawn the red colour of the Devils. Still, Manchester United should fortify other areas, especially the defence.
