Man Utd Transfer News: Manchester United face blow in Real Madrid star pursuit

Man Utd Transfer News: Manchester United face a huge blow in the pursuit of Real Madrid star James Rodriguez as the player refused a move.

Manchester United are looking for reinforcements after facing an underwhelming campaign last season. Thus, Manchester United manager Ole Solskjaer is seeking appropriate to fill in the void.

Moreover, departure of Ander Herrera and Juan Mata from the Old Trafford opens the vacancy in Red Devils’ midfield department.

Hence, Solskjaer was vying to land James Rodriguez from Real Madrid to bolster his squad, as the Colombian International has completed his loan-spell at Bayern Munich and set to return at Santiago Bernabeu.

However, Zinedine Zidane reportedly does not see James in his plans for next season ahead of massive squad overhaul. Therefore, giving an opportunity to Solskjaer to hire the services of the 27-year-old player.

On the other hand, according to a report by Marca, the player is not wishing for a move to England as the player reportedly desires to play in Serie A, if Los Blancos decide to send him away.

Real Madrid’s chances to transfer him to the Premier league dashes out, due to Rodriguez’s preference to move to Italy.

Thus, giving a huge setback to Manchester United as they were keen to bring the player to Old Trafford, in order to upgrade the attacking department at the club.

It is further reported that Juventus and Napoli are interested to negotiate for the player. Although, it seems unlikely that either of the club would agree to meet the demanding price of £62 million by Real Madrid.

Thus, Los Merengues have to lower their asking price, if they want to offload the player, otherwise the player enjoy a contract till 2021 with Real Madrid.
